Your First Class

Starting your first Muay Thai class can feel intimidating, but you’re not alone! Everyone here remembers what it was like on day one, and our community is built on support, patience, and respect. Whether you’re brand new or just a little unsure, you’ll find a welcoming environment where questions are encouraged and progress happens at your own pace. We pride ourselves on a non-judgmental, continuous learning culture where everyone helps each other grow. And most importantly, congratulations on taking the first step. We’re excited to meet you!

  • Comfortable workout clothes—like a t-shirt and athletic shorts. Avoid anything too loose or restrictive. You’ll be moving a lot.

  • We provide loaner gloves and shin guards for your first class. If you have hand wraps (not required, but recommended), bring them. If not, you can purchase them at the gym.

  • Not at all. Classes are designed for all fitness levels and everyone goes at their own pace. You’ll build conditioning over time just by showing up consistently.

  • No. First classes usually focus on basics like stance, movement, and simple strikes. Sparring is never required.

  • Like any sport, there’s some risk, but beginner classes are structured to be safe and controlled, with a strong focus on technique and proper coaching.

  • That’s completely normal. Everyone felt that way at first. The environment is designed to be supportive, and coaches will guide you through everything.

  • Try to arrive 10–15 minutes early so you can check in, meet your coach, and stretch before class starts.

When you check in, let the front desk know:

    • Any injuries or medical concerns

    • Your training experience (if any)

    • Your goals (fitness, self-defense, competition, technique)

  • Yes. You’re encouraged to take breaks when needed and focus on learning rather than keeping up with anyone else.

  • Absolutely. Coaches and training partners are there to support you and help you learn the basics.

  • You’ll usually get a quick rundown of membership options or next steps—but no pressure. The goal is to help you decide if it’s the right fit for you.
